J Hus has come from nothing to something in the last 2 years, this is due to all of the success and exposure he is receiving from the music industry. The main reasons for his fans supporting him is due to his lyrics and slightly his flow but more to do with the lyrics and what he actually means in his bars, when you know the definition of the words being used, you then slowly get a understanding of what he is trying to show and tells us. Raps are usually like books but instead of reading in peace you get to hear it with a instrumental which some people find better than being in peace, most raps have a massive meaning or story behind what the artist is trying to show, J Hus is the type of rapper who tells you about his life story as we learn from his "daily duppy" and "street heat" he explains to us how he lived his lifestyle and how he is still living his life. Throughout his lyrics we understand and acknowledge how hard it was for him to grow up in a tough environment, he states many times in many different words how he wants to leave this gang life and move on to becoming a good person and learning about his religion. "One day I'll leave this whole life and practice Islam" from this short bar and the tone of voice used to say it, explains to us what he really meant. J Hus grew up around drugs,weapons and definitely violence, so for a person to change his life from all of that to becoming a well known artist worldwide then he has achieved a lot. Having a Muslim background did not have a massive impact of how he lived his life but it did have the slightest of ideas in his head, he always wanted to become better in many ways from living a harsh lifestyle to becoming a very calm person which is now known in a lot of places.
